These Garden Monsters are a pretty easy kids craft idea and something extra to do during the school holidays. We used a hot glue gun but masking tape can also work. They are now proudly on display in our garden!
Time needed: 20 minutes
Materials:
Paddle pop sticks
Pipe cleaners
Googly eyes
Hot glue gun (or you can use masking tape)
Scissors
Skewers
Method:
1. Get your monkeys to map out how they want the monsters to look (i.e. place the eyes and pipe cleaners where they want the eyes and arms to be).
2. It is very important that the hot glue gun be used under adult supervision. You can either do all the gluing and sticking yourself or, I put the glue on myself, hold my monkeys back for a second, and then let them stick down the eyes and pipe cleaners themselves. If you don’t have a hot glue gun, you can use masking tape, but the Garden Monsters won’t last as long.
3. Glue a skewer onto the back of the monsters and put them in your garden! They are silly, fun and brighten up your space.
